Chris Rock Says Some Days Are Tough For Him Since Announcing His Divorce

Chris Rock is taking his divorce one day at a time, but it hasn’t been easy for him.
As much as Chris liked to joke about how miserable the idea of marriage was, he told The Guardian that it’s been tough being single again. Chris Rock and Malak Compton Rock announced their split after 19 years of marriage back in December of 2014.
“I’m doing OK,” Rock told the paper, admitting that he hasn’t exactly been chuckling ever since the breakup. “You know, some days are better than others, some days you’re sad outta your f*cking mind.”
He added, “But my daughters are good and I’m only an hour away. Two houses close by. It’s good.”

From the statement it sounds like Rock and his ex may have worked out any custody and visitation dispute they were supposedly having earlier this year.
Not long after they parted ways, he accused her of keeping their daughters Lola and Zahra away from him.
In a statement obtained by People magazine, he claimed, “[Compton-Rock] has repeatedly refused to permit [him] normal and usual access to the children, and has acted in a manner detrimental to the children’s best interests.”
