A remake of the 90s classic teen comedy She’s All That is on its way back to theaters and it’s going to be produced by Spike Lee’s wife Tonya Lewis Lee, according to a report from TheWrap.com.
The film, which originally starred Paul Walker, Freddie Prinze Jr. and included lesser appearances from Gabrielle Union, Lil Kim and Usher, was a hit in 1999. Now, 16 years later, the film will be remade through the Weinstein company and will feature a “diverse” cast. It is being produced under Lee’s Tonik Productions.
The film will be directed by Kenny Leon, who recently directed the Steel Magnolias remake starring Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard and Phylicia Rashad.
