Issa Rae & Larry Wilmore Team Up For Comedy Series
The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl’s creator Issa Rae is finally heading to television. Deadline is reporting Issa and funnyman Larry Wilmore will co-write a comedy series for HBO which Issa will star in. The upcoming project will center on the “awkward” experiences and risque tribulations of a current day black woman. Series mirrors Issa’s hit web series but is going to cable intead. Both Issa and Wilmore will serve as executive producers for the pilot. Get it Issa!
