There have been some major shifts on the annual list of top HBCUs!

U.S. News & World Report ran the numbers, and announced its list of the best Historicially Black Colleges and Universities. To make the list an institution must be an undergrad, baccalaureate-granting school that has already made the general list of Best College rankings for 2015.

Under those guidelines, Spelman College is perched atop the list of the best HBCUs. Howard University and Morehouse College followed up in the #2 and #3 slots respectively.

Hampton, which didn’t even make the top 25 last year, has sprung up to #4 on the list. Unfortunately, not every school was able to improve or maintain their position. Clark Atlanta sank to #18 on the list, which is way down from its spot on last year’s list at #9.
