Moniece Slaughter is setting the record straight about how Lil Fizz is really handling the custody agreement they have for their son, Kameron.
Situations on reality TV are rarely as they seem, and Moniece wants people to be clear about a few things that she feels have been misrepresented on “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.” The former singer told VH1 that Fizz has only been their son’s primary caretaker for a few months, but fans of the show might be under the impression that he’s had Kameron for years.
“I have joint physical and legal custody of my child on paper, ordered by the court,” she stated. “Fizz has not had physical, primary custody of Kameron for long. It’s only been since May. So I need everyone to understand that.”
Now that Fizz has their little boy most of the time, Moniece doesn’t get to see him as often as she would like. She hints that it’s not at all for lack of effort on her part. “I saw Kameron, I want to say, a week ago. And he was supposed to be with me this past weekend, but these are the things that don’t make the show,” she stated, clearly upset that she’s been short-changed on her family time.
“Weekends are my time, and this past weekend was my fifth weekend, since the Fourth of July, that he has taken Kameron out of town or sent Kameron out of town and not told me,” Moniece continued. “And just for the general public: when you have a custodial agreement on paper, that’s called kidnapping.”
The VH1 reality star has considered calling the authorities on Fizz for technically abducting Kameron. “If I call the cops, when he is apprehended–because that is what will happen–he would be arrested for kidnapping,” Moniece explained. “I don’t know what’s going on with my kid because he’s not communicating.”
There’s only been two things keeping Moniece from calling the authorities on Fizz, and she’s hoping to avoid all of the other problems that could result in his arrest. “My son is my world. I don’t want my son to see his father arrested,” she shared. “I don’t want my son to go to into D.C.F.S. I don’t know who’s with him. Those are all very hard decisions to make as a mother who wants to be with her child.”
