Rah Digga Doesn’t Think Iggy Azalea Is Real, Iggy Responds
Rah Digga did a random interview with ThisIs50.com (girl, how long has it been since we’ve seen her?), talking about the state of women in hip hop. And, of course, she had to mention Iggy Azalea. Rah said that Iggy is a beautiful woman, but she doesn’t think she’s “real” enough for the rap game.
“I can’t really get into (Iggy) because it’s just not real to me. And not for nothing because people have accents in real life as opposed to when they work. But let me say this to you. There is a white girl from Australia that spits in an Australian accent and her name is Chelsea Jane. That I can get into. Teach me Australian Hip Hop culture. Don’t come to America and try to convince me that you’re Gangsta Boo. She’s a beautiful girl. Capitalize off of the supermodeling thing! But we’re not going to believe you if you’re trying to convince us that you’re out here trap shooting.”
Since Rah is anti-Iggy, it then makes sense that she’s supportive of her rap frenemy peer: Nicki Minaj. Rah also talked about that infamous comment Nicki made during her BET Awards acceptance speech that had us thinking she was throwing not-so-subtle shade at Iggy. “Everybody was mad at Nicki for making that comment at BET. This is what I wanna say. When did it become wrong to call out people that don’t write their own rhymes? When did that become a crime in Hip Hop? This is Hip Hop at the end of the day.”
Iggy may have gotten word of the interview because she wrote on Twitter that she didn’t care what people thought of her.
