OMG! There is a God! Legacy recordings has announced that they will be releasing Whitney Houston’s first-ever live performances album! The six-time Grammy-award, two-time Emmy award, 16 Billboard Music Award, 22 American Music Award-winning songbird may have had a number of live performance that have stopped you in your tracks, but you’ve never heard them all in one place, at one time! “Whitney Houston Live” will prove (as if we need it) why we’ve always regarded Whitney and Whitney alone, as “The Voice.”

This musical treat will also be released as a DVD, which will include videos of Houston’s most incredible and vocally unbelievable performances. From her national network television debut appearance on “The Merv Griffin Show” in 1983 as a prodigious teenager, where she sang “Home” from The Wiz, to her emotional 2009 performance of “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength” on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” this album will be the most important thing you buy this year.

Of course music mogul Clive Davis is producing the album. Mr. Davis states, “Whitney’s Live CD/DVD will stun everyone. It definitely shows why she was totally unique, absolutely in the first rank of all time. For me, it’s been very emotional. The set vividly confirms that there really was no one like her. It also makes the tragedy of losing her so young so very painful. Watching the DVD is a mesmerizing experience. Her amazing vocals and the songs that have stood the test of time combine to truly hypnotize over and over.”

Whitney’s stunning career boasts 170 million albums, singles and videos sold worldwide. She was a true pop culture icon and Whitney Houston Live: Her Greatest Performances only further demonstrates her immense talent, which will keep her and her magic remembered forever. We will never, ever forget you, Whitney!

Fans can pre-order the CD/DVD from the Whitney Houston official fansite to get your names included on an exclusive poster. A limited edition fan bundle, which includes a purple vinyl, is offered on the site as well. Both the CD/DVD and the CD are also available for pre-order on Amazon and iTunes.
