The signs might be pointing to a Hillary Clinton 2016 bid for the White House, but she still hasn’t officially made up her mind.
Hillary’s been down the presidential campaign road a few times before–last time, she even did it for herself! Many people have been pushing for her to give it one more shot even though she’s said in the past that she initially had no plans to run for president again. Of course, we know by now that Hillary’s slowly been changing her mind.
With some time and distance, it seems that the former Secretary of State is not done with the political game after all. She’s quietly been testing the waters for another run for the Oval Office. Reuters reports, however, that her supporters may want to hold off on printing up official Hillary 2016 merchandise so as not to jump the gun.
Hillary said during an event in Mexico City that an official announcement is still months away. “I am going to be making a decision … probably after the first of the year about whether I’m going to run again or not,” she stated.
Interestingly, Hillary’s in Mexico City to support a charity event for Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim. Bloomberg reports that he’s contributed over a $1 million to the Clinton Foundation through his organization.
Hillary may still be on the fence, but there are some rumblings that her support staff is getting a team in place just in case she decides to run. For example, Politico.com reports that John Podesta is being considered for the prospective position of campaign manager.
