Pharrell may have been skipped over for an Oscar, but there were still plenty of reasons for the “Best Song” nominee to be “happy” at the Academy Awards!

The iconic producer performed his infectious hit from the “Despicable Me 2” soundtrack “Happy,” which went No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts just days before the ceremony, and moved the crowd to its feet with his upbeat stage presence. During the choir-backed performance, Pharrell danced with the stars, including Jamie Foxx and his daughter — who were both in the 24-hour music video for the song — as well as Lupita Nyong’oMeryl Streep (“August: Osage County”) and Amy Adams (“American Hustle”).

Pharrell has even more reasons to celebrate. That oversized Vivienne Westwood hat he’s been rocking lately sold for $44,000 at an eBay auction shortly before the Oscars show. Guess who wanted their hat back? Yep, none other than Arby’s, the fast food chain  who’s logo looks a lot like the topper Pharrel’s been rocking since the Grammys.

.@Pharrell You’re welcome. We’re HAPPY to support a great cause & get our hat back. Good luck at the #Oscars tonight! pic.twitter.com/2oA7qDPX9z— Arby’s (@Arbys) March 3, 2014

Ellen hilariously passed his new black Oscars hat around for donations for her pizza schtick, but proceeds from the $44K auction of the tan one he wore to the Grammys will benefit From One Hand to Another, Williams’ educational non-profit organization.

“I’m giving up the Buffalo Hat I wore to the GRAMMYs to help underserved kids get the educational tools they need,” Pharrell said in a statement. “Our organization, From One Hand to Another, is committed to bringing kids experiences that ignite their passions, challenge their minds and prepare them for success.”
