Octavia Spencer’s million-dollar endorsement deal with Sensa didn’t exactly end the way she planned.

According to the Huffington Post, the Academy Award winner filed a $700,000 lawsuit against the weight-loss company for “breach-of-contract and fraud” at the Los Angeles Superior Court this week.

Sensa, for those unfamiliar with the product, is “a doctor formulated weight loss system you sprinkle on your food to help you eat less and feel full faster” — according to the company’s website. As documents obtained by THR show, Spencer signed a $1.25 million contract with Sensa, but had certain stipulations: She refused to do tabloid ads, refused to partake in “before and after” photos, and she insisted on transparency with her fans by tagging all sponsored tweets with the required #spon hashtag.

In the lawsuit, Spencer claims she agreed to “promote a healthier lifestyle and not significant weight loss.” However, the company sent her a termination letter last month, blaming her “for the failed advertising campaign.”

According to legal documents, the actress’ relationship  with Sensa turned sour after she failured “to get a half-dozen tweets preapproved.”

“Sensa admitted that Spencer’s social media posts generally received less likes than the brand saw with their normal posts,” reads the suit. “Although the reactions to Spencer’s posts were all positive, Sensa felt that her use of ‘#spon’ at the end of her tweets, which is a requirement under the Agreement and by the FTC, did not benefit her performance.”

A hearing date has yet to be set, but it will be interesting to see if Spencer wins the remaining on her million-dollar contract.
