HelloBeautiful.com’s “Base Level” column features the hottest new artists we’re buzzing about. Before they make it to the summit of superstardom, we spot them at base level–the beginning of their hopeful journey to the top.
Curtis Fields caught my ears on this year’s BET Awards’ Music Matters. The 25-year-old shocking played the guitar via is iPhone and I was impressed! With strong southern roots in Montgomery, Alabama, Fields’ sound is saturated in down-home grit, but it was his worldly travels to places like Africa, India and Spain that created in him, a cultural sound.
Field has already begun to make a name for himself in music by receiving the stamp of approval from John Legend and Eric Roberson. With his debut single “Smoke and Mirrors” from his debut EP, “Cherish The Day,” Fields is proving that his artistry is supreme. We can do nothing, but anticipate as the young crooner completes his debut LP.
