Janelle Monae’s latest single, “Dance Apocalyptic” is an upbeat and fun offering from the Arch Android. Her next album, “The Electric Lady” due out September 10th is sure to be inspired by art. Monae often painted while she performed, adding more dimensions to he talent as an artist. Between the new single and her track with fellow eclectic songstress, Erykah Badu, “Q.U.E.E.N.,” we’re excited for the new album.
Up Next: India.Arie “I Am Light”
India.Arie’s been making headlines lately for critics of her lighter skin. But the “Brown Skin” songstress maintains that she hasn’t bleached her skin, as many of her critics believe. With a new album coming out called “Songversations,” India is proving once again that she’s not defined by the world’s limited standards. The latest single from the album is “I Am Light,” another heartfelt manifesto from India about her defining herself. Check out the lyric video.
Up Next: Eddie Murphy ft. Snoop Lion “Red Light”
Hell has frozen over and Eddie Murphy and Snoop Dogg are both the reason why. There’s absolutely nothing I can say about this reggae track. Just do yourself a favor and listen. You’ll regret it, but at least it’s a story to tell.
Up Next: Che Mack “S.A.B.”
Stevie J’s latest protege, Che Mack recently released a diss record, coming at Stevie’s boo, Joseline Hernandez. Naturally, she named the song “S.A.B.” or more affectionately known as “Slut Ass B*tch.” Evidently there’s a beef between the two buxom chicks. Joseline doesn’t want anyone working with Stevie, except her. By the sound of this Che Mack track, Joseline might need a new producer.
