4) Dress and Act Accordingly:

Dress for the opportunity as if you are going on a job interview. Be polite and aware that the person you are shadowing is still at work. Do not act in a way to compromise any future opportunities for you, or that may cause harm or damage to the person you are shadowing.

5) Ask Questions:

The number one reason you are shadowing is to learn. Ask as many questions as you may have to assist in your understanding of what it takes to do that job and succeed at it.

6) Meet Others:

You will more than likely have the opportunity to meet others who work either in the same industry, company and/or division as the person you are shadowing. Take advantage of these introductions to create future business connections and opportunities.

7) Send a Thank You Card:

Use your manners, thank them !
