Chris Brown- “I Can’t Win”
It’s been a long time coming for Chris Brown. The domestic violence incident between he and Rihanna rendered him public enemy number one, and his reoccurring anger flares kept him there. Until recently, Breezy’s career seemed as if it would always be under scrutiny. His recent attitude adjustments have made him likable again and given his music a second chance to shine. July 16th marks the date of his forthcoming album “X” featuring the hit song “Fine China.” Brown released his next single “I Can’t Win” to his regrowing fan base and it follows the dance-beat blueprint which he laid with songs like “Beautiful People.”
J. Cole- “Cole Summer”
J. Cole‘s mother serves as inspiration for his new track “Cole Summer.” “I told her quit her job, but hold your horses/ If my next album flop, it’s back to the post office, both of us,” he raps over the Lauryn Hill sampled jam which has garnered nothing but positive responses from loyal hip-hop fans. Drake, who is mentioned on the track for his strip club spending, tweeted “COLE SUMMER!!! Haaaaa. That’s my brother man. Bars too real. Too ill.” The rap circuit is certainly feeling this one!
Lil Kim Feat. Tiffany Foxx – Jay-Z
Lil Kim isn’t on hiatus anymore. Nor is she rolling alone in the rap game. Her boyfriend Mr Papers and protege Tiffany Foxx are standing tall by her side as she tours and releases new music. “Jay-Z” is the latest release from The Queen and, I know what you’re thinking–but, the song has absolutely nothing to do with Jay-Z. However, Kim and her blond haired companion spit bars as they chill in the club.
Sean Kingston Ft. Chris Brown & Wiz Khalifah- “Beat It”
And the summer anthem of 2013 belongs to… Sean Kingston for the win! After a near death jet-ski experience, Sean Kingston came back strong for his first release since the accident! The Jamaican smooth talker, enlisted Chris Brown and Wiz Khalifah for “Beat It,”an upbeat, feel good track that was created specifically for buxom bottoms in bathing suits!
