March 8th is International Women’s Day and as a woman, today is our day to feel proud of how far we’ve come since the day’s first celebration in 1911. God bless the progressive activists who were ahead of their time in thinking about women’s economic and political equality in those days because today, we have more freedoms than they’d ever know.

To say the phenomenal timeline of women’s growth throughout the years is inspirational, is an understatement. Women have gone from quiet housewives to to garment workers to CEO’s, politicians, astronauts and more. In the words of the historic icon, Rosie the Riveter, “We can do it!”
