Have you ever noticed that there’s a backstory to finding a great lipstick? Whether it was an oh-so-fab birthday gift from your besties, or you stalked that lip color on your favorite beauty blogger, or in my case a wonderful find at the bottom of your collection of swag bag leftovers.

I was actually sorting through my collection over the weekend looking for a birthday gift for my good girlfriend. Yes… that’s what I do with my swag bag leftovers–re-gift! The packaging of the Ellis Faas Creamy Lips in Rusty Pink is what caught my eye. I put it to the side and thought, “I will keep her for myself.”

For some reason this morning I was weird space. Happens to the best of us so I thought, what a perfect moment for some new beauty.

Because I had never heard of the brand, Ellis Faas, I decided to do some googling. I am almost ashamed to admit that I didn’t know this makeup artist who happens to have a Vogue Paris nod of approval. Ellis created Ellis Faas Creamy Lips to be a long-wear lipstick providing color, and a shiny finish. Combining a spongy applicator and a mechanical feed, this lipstick also has ingredients to improve hydration and smooth your lips.

The best part about this product–No scent. No taste. No parabens. No animal testing. SOLD! There’s nine colors (blood red, deep plum wine, bright red, rusty brown, chocolate caramel, pale peach, pale coffee, and rusty pink) to pick from that I am definitely snatching up on my next payday.

I am officially dubbing this as my new liquid love made to make those boys I don’t really want anyways turn their heads. I mean that’s the thrill of a good lip, right!
