Khloe Kardashian has always been that one Kardashian that stood out for being bigger, taller, lighter and louder than the rest of the Kardashian Klan, so bullying was something that Khloe has dealt heavily with in her life. “I was called fat all the time,” she recalls in an interview with E! News. Even though Khloe is just as beautiful as her sisters Kim and Kourtney, she’s constantly compared to them.

“I feel like I was so attacked. [I was picked on because] I had to wear braces, I was overweight as a kid, just for no reason,” Khloe recalls of her childhood. However, those thoughts aren’t all that forgotten because even now Khloe still gets ridiculed by the media as the ugly duckling of the Kardashians.

“I’m called the fat sister. I’m called the ugliest Kardashian,” Khloe says, but her self-confidence outshines all of that. “I’m proud of myself,” Kardashian declares. “I could break and go get all this plastic surgery and get my nose fixed and get lipo or do whatever, but I haven’t chosen to do that because I know I’m a great person. I’m pretty damn hot, if you ask me.”

It’s that self-confidence that Khloe hopes to inspire kids who deal with bullying to have. “Typically people get bullied because [the bullies are] afraid of that person,” she observes. “There’s a spark, a light, something that the bully doesn’t have—and they’re intimidated, so they want to attack you.”

And attack they will. Even though I am a part of the media, I will admit that sometimes I bully celebrities too. Of course I mask it and say it’s all for fun, but fun can hurt people sometimes.
