Thanks to Mary J. Blige and her Crispy Chicken Coonery, my wheels started turning and I thought of a few products that black people really should think twice about aligning their brand with. There’s nothing wrong with pushing a product for a healthy paycheck, but when the product is infamously known for reflecting a negative stereotype on your people as a whole–you should think twice. Paychecks are great, but what about your pride? Your platform is bigger than the average persons and that makes you a bit more responsible for the people that you represent.
