#TheWorldIsWatching: Bahamas Issues Travel Warning To Its Citizens Entering The U.S. About The Police
It’s clear the world is watching what is going on in the United States as of late. So much so that the Bahamas, whose population is 90 percent Black, recently issued a travel advisory, warning their citizens coming to the States to be careful about the dangers of American police, says the Huffington Post.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration has taken a note of the recent tensions in some American cities over shootings of young Black males by police officers,” says the statement that was issued on Friday.
The advisory added, “We wish to advise all Bahamians traveling to the US but especially to the affected cities to exercise appropriate caution generally. In particular young males are asked to exercise extreme caution in affected cities in their interactions with the police. Do not be confrontational and cooperate.”

Ramsey Orta, Man Who Taped Eric Garner’s Death, Gets Four Years In Jail
The man who filmed the 2014 chokehold death of Eric Garner is going to prison for four years as part of a plea deal for a drugs and weapons case.
“I’m supposed to be copping out,” Ramsey Orta, 24, told the Daily News at Manhattan Criminal Court on Wednesday. “I’m pretty much tired of fighting.”
Orta has been adamant that the NYPD has made him a target since filming Garner’s death in a video that went viral. In a January interview he told Democracy Now!, “And from then on, I’ve been targeted by NYPD. I got five pending cases right now — two in Supreme Court, three in criminal. Since then, I’ve just been harassed. I’ve been almost killed in Rikers Island.”
Yikes! More Women Accuse Fox News Boss Of Sexual Harassment
In the wake of Gretchen Carlson‘s recent lawsuit against the CEO of Fox News Channel, Roger Ailes, more women are coming forward and accusing the producer of the same illegal treatment.
According to New York Magazine, more than a dozen women have contacted Carlson’s New Jersey-based attorney and made detailed allegations of sexual harassment by Ailes over a 25-year period. In addition, the online mag printed six interviews of his accusers talking about their experiences.
Marsha Callahan, 73, a former model, said she met Ailes in the late ’60s when he was the producer for The Mike Douglas Show. Callahan said during a meeting, Ailes was highly inappropriate, judged her physical appearance, and told her she’d have to sleep with him to get on the show.
“I had to do these different poses. And then, I recall very clearly, he said he’d put me on the show but I needed to go to bed with him,” she said.
In a statement released on Saturday, Ailes’ lawyer stressed none of these accusations had any merit, Time noted.
“It has become obvious that Ms. Carlson and her lawyer are desperately attempting to litigate this in the press because they have no legal case to argue. The latest allegations, all 30 to 50 years old, are false,” said Barry Asen.
