On Saturday, thousands of Bernie Sanders supporters from across the country took to the streets for the-ever national march for a presidential candidate.

The March for Bernie—which was held in 35 U.S. cities including Chicago, Orlando, Boston and New Orleans —varied from city to city in terms of turnout.

Portland and Boston had thousands of supporters come through, as did Chicago, whose streets were flooded with people “in an event that was largely organized over social media,” All Media NY wrote. Meanwhile, even with a blizzard beating down on the East Coast, Buffalo, NY, drew of crowd of 500 with other marches taking place in states such as Virginia, Florida and California,

That’s probably because the major news media didn’t really cover it, maybe because of Winter Storm Jonas, US Cut pointed out.

The success of these marches may help Sanders with the Iowa Caucuses later this week, where he is slightly ahead of his opponent Hillary Clinton.
