You’ve probably all seen the surprise Beyoncé surprise wedding dance video that went viral recently.

No, Beyoncé wasn’t in it, but the dance was to Destiny’s Child “Cater To You.” Dancing at weddings is an important part of many cultures, but we can all agree that when it comes to the combinations of dancing and wedding and culture, the African diaspora throughout the globe can put on a show!

1. Nigerian Wedding

Why couldn’t we be bridesmaids in this wedding? So fun!

We’re all the way here for a plus size bride!

Song: “Thando Iwan” by Bojo Mujo (South Africa): Thando Iwam means “Marry Me” in Zulu, spoken widely throughout South Africa.

 

5. Malawian Wedding

A red carpet and an elaborate dance?! Maybe our invite got lost in the mail.
