WNBA stars Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson tied the knot this weekend, just weeks after they were both arrested on suspicion of assault and battery after a fight outside their home.

After a nine-month engagement following Griner’s proposal back in August, the wedding took place at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliff Resort in North Phoenix, AZ. There were 75 guests in attendance.

But their arrests have certainly left fans of the two concerned for their well-being.

After the incident just two weeks ago, Griner accepted a plea deal that required her to enter into 26 weeks of domestic violence counseling. Johnson agreed to enter counseling as well.

They’ve both expressed regret over the domestic incident, with Griner noting that she wants to remain a role model for young women.

She said back in April:

“It is never OK for an argument to turn physical. This will never happen again, and I take my relationship and my responsibility as a role model seriously.”

Still, despite their issues, the two athletes, both 24, seemed happier than ever on photos of their big day on social media.

Johnson’s dress, designed by Matthew Christopher, was featured on the hit TV show, Say Yes to the Dress.

They certainly seem happy and look great. We wish them the best, of course, but we hope that they’ve gotten the help they need to resolve their issues.
