Chaka Khan Talks Whitney Houston & Bobbi Kristina

Chaka Khan is keeping Bobbi Kristina and her family in her prayers as everyone watches for any sign of improvement in Bobbi’s condition.

Tons of celebrities have shared their sympathies for Bobby Brown ever since Bobbi was found unconscious in a bathtub back in January. Now, Khan has added her name to the list of those pulling Bobbi, who has been in a medically induced coma for nearly three months.

“I’ve been in conversation with the family. Everyone’s devastated, everyone. I love Bobbi Kristina, I love Whitney, I love Bobby Brown. I love Cissy — I love them all,” she told The Daily Mirror during a recent chat, noting that Bobbi’s mother Whitney Houston would have been heartbroken if she were still alive today.

She said, “We just have to wait for what happens next. All I want to do is be there for them. I just need to pray … Whitney would be devastated. I wish she was here.”

Having a child suffer through such a medical trauma is a pain that few people can understand. Even though Houston has passed on, Khan believes that she can identify with however the deceased diva would be feeling.

“You really don’t know what this is like for a mother until it happens to you,” said Khan. “I think I’m pretty close to feeling what she would have felt and what she’s feeling right now, wherever she is.”
