Katy Perry probably thought riding a giant gold lion across the University of Phoenix Stadium was her best idea since kissing a girl, but nope, it was bringing out Missy Elliott during her performance at the 2015 Super Bowl Half Time Show. Chile, we were two yawns away from showering with Idris Elba in our dreams then POW! “Get Your Freak On” hit our ear drums and woke us right up! Not since Beyonce shut down the power in the Superdome have we been left twerking over a sports game. We’ll give Bruno Mars gets an honorable mention with his kick-a** flying drum set at last year’s game.

Missy Elliot took Katy’s “Dark Horse” (side note: where was Juicy J?) and turned the Super Bowl into the BET awards. Missy brought high energy and classic Missy jams to Katy’s lackluster performance. Damn Katy, how did you just gon’ let Missy just come to your house and snatch your edges straight off?! She hasn’t put out a new album since George W. Bush was in office.

Anyone else think Missy should have her own half time show next year? Bring Timb, Ginuwine, Nelly Furtado and errbody!

Meanwhile, we can’t praise Missy without gushing over how freakin’ hot Lenny Kravitz is! The rock legend joined Katy on stage to help bring life to her hit song, “I Kissed A Girl” and showed viewers what 50 looks like in 2015.
