Marsha Ambrosius was the last person to be in the studio and create original music with Michael Jackson before his untimely passing in the June of 2009. Their creation, “Butterflies”–off his disc “Invincible,” would be Jackson’s last single on a studio album. Marsha, who co-wrote and composed the song with Andre Harris, remembers recording the track with Michael.
“He was very cool and chill, but in the studio–very much a hands-on perfectionist making sure I told him what to do,” Marsha reminisced. “When we were chilling we were eating collard greens, mac and cheese and smothered turkey chops.”
