Evidently, “people don’t have a realistic view of what Greek life is…” says one of the cast members of a possible new reality show series, “Sorority Sisters.” Well Mona Scott-Young, the creator of some of Vh1’s most watched and Tweeted reality show series, is looking to change that with a new reality series that may well teach us everything we need to know about Black Greek life.

Would you watch a reality show that chronicles the lives of women who pledged Black Greek Letter Organizations, who have remained loyal even after they’ve left their respective campuses? Yeah…me neither. But, alas, “Sorority Sisters” came across my desk as a “rough cut,” with an emphasis on rough. I just had to see what this was all about. Maybe once of the cast members would sum it all up in a cute one-liner in the confessional booth. And she did.

“Once you join a Black Greek letter organization, you’re expected to be a member for life,” Alpha Kappa Alpha member, Sundarkia Hill admitted. It’s that admission that set the foundation for this new show. Many of the cast members are out of school and displaying what life is like for women of Greek organizations and I’m like…yawn.

It’s safe to say that by now, Mona’s got the golden touch. However, “Sorority Sisters” just feels like a ratchet representation of what it means to be a part of a Black sorority. While the rough cut is from 2011, our sources tell us the show is still moving forward. I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled…so that I can firmly close them as soon as promo images start coming out.

If this show gets to see the light of day, will you be watching? Check out the trailer above and tell us what you think.
