Billboard Magazine revealed their “Power 100” list at a Los Angeles Gala Thursday night, listing Jay Z and Beyonce (Duh!) as the most influential people of 2013. And if we do say so ourselves, there are no celebs more deserving of the top slot…
The Carters both released solid projects in 2013 via way of unprecedented measures. Jay Z sold a million copies in his first week through a massive deal with Samsung and Beyonce dropped her album on iTunes with no warning, not to mention her “Mrs. Carter” tour that grossed in the $100 million range.

Rankings for the Power 100 were determined by a combination of key factors including market share, exclusive Billboard chart data/boxscore information, and revenue. A team of 15 top Billboard editors then analyzed the value of these metrics to produce the final results.
