Good news for Beyonce fans: her fifth album may drop next year!
According to Columbia Records chairman Rob Stringer, the label’s 2014 calendar includes a release from the 32-year-old pop star.
“At the beginning of next year we’ve got Broken Bells and Bruce Springsteen. Then we’ve got Lea Michele from Glee coming, and we’ve got Foster the People up next. Then we’ve got Pharrell and Solange, and obviously, at some point Beyonce will put a record out, and when she does it will be monumental,” he said. “So we’re in really, really good shape.”
Stringer didn’t offer an exact date, but we know Bey is a true artist so she won’t release the project until it’s perfect.

During an interview with Billboard this summer, friend and longtime collaborator Ne-Yo said “I’m still putting stuff together for Beyonce’s album.”
“They’re still trying to figure out what they want that to be, which I’m not mad at. Beyonce’s the kind of artist where you’re not gonna see it till it’s right,” he added. “And her fans — they love her so they’ll be patient.”
The songstress released four news songs this year, including “Bow Down/I Been On,” “Grown Woman,” “Standing on the Sun” and “God Made You Beautiful.” There’s no word yet if those tracks will appear on the upcoming album.
Day 26 Plans Reunion Tour
Day 26, the boy band Diddy put together for MTV’s “Making the Band 4,” is gearing up for a comeback.
According to reports, the group plans to hit the road for a 30-city tour starting in the Spring of 2014. Sources say all of the original members will be present — Qwanell Mosley, Willie Taylor, Robert Curry, Michael McCluney and Brian Andrews — despite reports that Que left the group in 2009.
During their glory days, Day 26 released two albums, a self-titled debut in 2008 and Forever in a Day in 2009.
Unlike Danity Kane, TMZ reports the band has received Diddy’s blessing.
Miley Cyrus Named MTV’s ‘Artist of the Year’
Miley Cyrus has tweaked her way to the top.
According to MTV, the 21-year-old attention seeker had a better 2013 than Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Lady Gaga and Beyonce. The network named her as its best artist of the year.
This week, MTV announced that Miley’s VMA duet of “We Can’t Stop” and “Blurred Lines” was the most-watched video on its website, and her song “Wrecking Ball” and album Bangerz performed equally as well on the charts.
“She dominated the music charts and critics’ best-of lists while creating some of the year’s most memorable moments,” said Amy Doyle, head of MTV’s music and talent programming strategy.

Mary Mary’s Erica Campbell Thrives As a Solo Star
Erica Campbell’s solo career is shooting off like a rocket. Her current single “A Little More Jesus” earned a Grammy nomination this week, and judging by the overwhelming response on social media, fans can’t wait to get a little more of the gospel singer in 2014.
According to a press release, the wait for her new album is almost over. Erica’s first solo project, titled Help, will drop on March 25.
The follow up single and title track “Help,” is a relevant and current sounding ballad that will be released to radio in early January. Two versions of the song will be serviced including a hip-hop version featuring Lecrae one of today’s hottest rappers.
As for her Grammy nod and successful year, Erica said, “God is so awesome!”
