BEAUTIFUL NEWS: Georgia Couple Celebrates 75th Wedding Anniversary
Ralph and Tillie Lee Pullin said “I do” in 1938 and they are still going strong!
The Pullins, who are celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary this year, shared their love story and secrets behind their successful marriage during a recent interview with FOX Atlanta.
When asked how they became one of the longest-living married couples in Georgia, Mr. Pullin gave all the credit to God.
“Our marriage was like the ocean,” he said. “I’m not trying to say big words, but you know how the ocean waves go up and down? At the bottom, God was there. And every time we hit bottom, God pushed us back up.”

He went on to say that their love and attraction has stayed strong since the day they met in 1936.
“She had to sit on part of my knee! And that got my attention like– a live wire,” he said. “I was making 99 cents a day and had a wife and in 11 months we had a child.”

Their incredible milestone has recieved a lot of unexpected attention, including a congratulatory letter from President Obama.
“I am so excited, I am telling you,” Mrs. Pullin chimed in.
Ralph and Tillie Lee Pullin, who gave birth to eight children, have 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Who said Black love isn’t alive?!
