PRESS PLAY: Lauryn Hill 'Consumerism' [New Song]
PRESS PLAY: Lauryn Hill Releases New Song ‘Consumerism’ & Planning Tour
Despite the fact that she was just released from prisonafter serving a 3 month sentence for tax evasion, Lauryn Hill doesn’t plan to be bound by home detention. The “Ex-Factor” singer is going on tour, with the judicial system’s blessing and new material to perform!
Hill released a new track, “Consumerism,” on the heels of her release from the minimum security Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut. The song is a rambunctious attack on societal issues like: ageism, sexism, egotism, racism, fascism, McCarthyism and commercialism, and has received mixed reviews.
Lauryn flexes her verbose vocab on the track and may lose some people along the way. But, if you’re a fan, you understand that there is a method to her madness.
