Miley Cyrus made sure her hosting gig on “Saturday Night Live” was an episode to remember.
No topic was off limits for the former Disney star, from her raunchy twerking performance at this year’s MTV VMA’s to the current government shutdown. She even declared death to her alter ego Hannah Montana, saying she “was murdered.”

During her opening monologue, the former “Hanna Montana” star said “I don’t apologize to anyone for my VMA performance.”

Dressed as Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, Miley Cyrus does a government shutdown-themed rendition of her hit song, “We Can’t Stop.”

Miley sang “Wrecking Ball” during the performance segment of the show. Actress Kirstie Alley later complimented her, saying “Omg @MileyCyrus DAMN!! Your vocals on SNL are insanely gorgeous !!! WOW! just WOW!!!!!!”
