Elle Varner is back on the market!

According to reports, the songstress  ended her summer fling with New York Knicks star Iman Shumpert.

“I’m single,” Elle revealed on her Twitter account today. “Please don’t ask me a million questions I won’t answer any of them.”

“No drama here,” she added, “just peace and love.”

So what caused the 24-year-old to breakup with the man she once called her “super amazing, talented, handsome, strong, sexy, intelligent boyfriend?” We don’t know the exact reason but during a recent interview with Vibe Viven, Elle said that going public with her relationship wasn’t the best idea.

“Making a relationship public draws a lot of scrutiny,” she said. “It makes you think about something you were never thinking about before so I don’t know if I would advocate public relations to folks but hey, it is what it is.”

Even though the young lovebirds (Iman is 23 and Elle is 24) have decided to go their separate ways, who hope they’ll be able to rekindle their friendship. Check out the kind words they had to say about each other before things went sour, below.

Iman on Elle:

Elle is a beautiful person. She’s so different. My personality is big. I’m real active. I do a lot.[…]We was friends for the longest. She shut me down at first. She thought I was too young and thirsty. No salt taken.

Elle on Iman:

He’s awesome, we’ve been friends for such a long time. Of all the guys that I’ve met throughout being in the limelight, he’s the one guy that really stuck it out and built a friendship with me and it meant a lot.
