What’s The 411 On Mendeecees Harris?

We all fell in love with Mendeecees Harris and Yandy Smith’s relationship on “Love & Hip Hop: New York.”

The last season ended with a romantic proposal — that had us all in tears! — and then to everyone’s surprise, Mendeecees’s past legal troubles caught up with him and he turned himself in to authorities.

Fast forward a few months later, and fans still have yet to find out the exact reason Mendeecees was forced to go away and the status of his trial.

Well, according to one report, the 34-year-old was sentenced to 15 years in prison for drug trafficking charges. Sources say he was accused of “trafficking more than $2 million worth of coke and heroin for a decade ” and his brother was also indicted for his role in the operation.

However, according to Mendeecees lawyer Donald Thompson, the hip-hop producer and manager has not been “been found guilty of anything yet, much less sentenced.”

There are conflicting reports out there but, but Hip Hop Wired reports, if you search his name on the Federal Bureau of Prisons it reveals that his release date is “unknown” and he’s currently “in transit.”

During the “Love and Hip-Hop” reunion show in March, Yandy said she still “kind of just a waiting situation to see what this is all about.”

“It’s a hard situation, especially when you don’t have any answers yet,” she said.” The unknown is the hardest part.”
