Jamie Foxx has had a standout year on the big screen, and according to reports he may have more big news in store.
The actor is currently in negotiations to star alongside fellow Oscar-nominated actress Quvenzhané Wallis in the remake of the musical Annie. The Hollywood Reporter reports Foxx received an offer from Sony Studios to play her father Benjamin Stacks, a character similar to Daddy Warbucks.

The Will Gluck-directed film has a host of producers including Will Smith, James Lassiter, Jay-Z and Jada Pinkett-Smith.
Whether the deal goes through or not, Foxx fans have a lot to took forward to this year. He’s currently shooting The Amazing Spider-Man 2, where he stars as villain Electro, and White House Down, where he plays the president, hits theaters on June 28.
Annie is scheduled to be released during the 2014 holiday season.
