Issa Rae To Co-Host New Talk Show On Magic Johnson’s Aspire Network
What happens when you mix the formula from “The View” with five successful African-American women in entertainment? You get Magic Johnson’s new talk show “Exhale!”

The business mogul has just greenlit a new series on his Apsire network, which will star producer and “Misadventures of an Awkward Black Girl” creator Issa Rae, former ESSENCE editor-in-chief Angela Burt-Murray, comedian Erin Jackson, author and TV anchor Rene Syler and actress Malinda Williams.

According to Variety, the talkshow “aims to bring candid conversation to topics including family, relationships, career, money and faith.”
This is the new network’s third original series and general manager Paul Butler described it as “fresh, hip and candid.”
“We are thrilled to add ‘Exhale’ to our lineup of original programming,” he said. “This fresh, hip and candid new series will enlighten audiences with its broad range of topics relevant to the community.”
“Exhale” is schedule to start its eight-episode season in June, marking Aspires one-year anniverasy.
