Tamela and David Mann Say ‘I Do’ Again In Intimate Vow Renewal Ceremony

One of Gospel’s most adorable couples celebrated 25 years of marriage by swapping vows all over again.

“Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns” stars Tamela and David Mann recently reaffirmed their vows in an intimate, Dallas, Texas ceremony, reports US Weekly.

“We hosted everyone at the Joule Hotel because it had the feel we were trying to create — old-world romantic, beautiful, chic and lush — and a place everyone would love,” Tamela said. “And it had space for a dance floor, which if you know David, was something we had to have!”

The bride said she wore a Binzario Couture gown that she “spent months” designing. “I knew every intimate detail of it, but when I saw it at my final fitting last week, I lost it,” she said. “It was everything I could have ever dreamed of in a bridal gown.”

The “Take Me To The King!” singer went on to say that she and David “wanted a fairytale wedding” because when they legally wed in 1988 they couldn’t afford a proper ceremony.

“When we got married 25 years ago, we didn’t have enough money for a wedding,” Tamela said, adding they had to even borrow a ring.

This time around, the couple’s family and friends were able to attend the event, including Kirk Franklin and his wife Tammy, Timbaland and his wife Monique Idlett Mosley, their children (three daughters and a son), and their grand babies, who “were dressed as little princes and princesses.”

“Our children weren’t happy they didn’t get to be in the ceremony, but they eventually were okay with it because their kids got to be on stage with us,” Tamela shared.

During the late 2013/early 2014 TV season, The Manns will be joining The Sheards and Mary Mary as the next gospel stars to land a religion-themed reality show.
