Beyonce rocked the stage at the Billboard Awards tonight and performed her new single, “Run The World (Girls)” for the very first time on television. She also accepted the Millennium award where many of today’s pop icons including Michelle Obama, The Dream, Bono, Lady Gaga, Babyface and many more honored the singer for her accomplishments both in her career and personal life.
The tribute brought tears to my eyes as I was watching in amazement of all the wonderful things that everyone had to say about Beyonce. She is truly a great role model and such a humble person!
Immediately following the tribute, Bey hit the stage with a stellar performance of her single which ended with her mother, Tina Knowles, and nephew, Juelz, presenting her with the Millennium award.
The best part of the night was Beyonce’s acceptance speech, where she thanked her family, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and the rest of the Destiny’s Child members as well as her hubby and bestfriend, Jay Z in which she stated, “I love me some Jay-Z!”
