Many designers were asked to submit sketches of their proposed inaugural gown for the FLOTUS. This red halter dress was the only one Jason Wu submitted for Michelle’s consideration. Talk about confidence! He collaborated with the jewelry designer to create the jeweled neckline.

At the end of the inaugural festivities, the first lady’s outfit and accompanying accessories will go to the National Archives.
