Kandi Burruss and Ne-Yo duet on a new song, “Me & U.”
The song samples Kandi’s fellow hometown friends from Atlanta, Outkast and their classic “Elevators.”
The ballad, co-written by and featuring Ne-Yo, is dedicated to her man, with lyrics detailing how the couple is almost the same person.
Our blogger Kandi had this to say about her song,
“I love that song, partially because [Ne-Yo’s] production team, they took the song ‘Elevators’ by OutKast and flipped the track. I’m an ATLien, and when he turned that track and flipped it, he made it into a love song.”
The song will appear on her upcoming album, Kandi Koated, due December 14.
