In today’s shut the f*ck up news, Michelle Rodriguez, who starred alongside Viola Davis and Liam Neeson in Widows, came to Neeson’s defense after the actor revealed he once sought a Black man to kill. According to Rodriguez, Neeson can’t be racist because he put his tongue so far down a Black Viola Davis’ throat.
“It’s all f*ckin’ bullshit. Liam Neeson is not a racist,” Rodriguez said at the amfAR Gala New York on Wednesday night. “Dude, have you watched Widows? His tongue was so far down Viola Davis’s throat. You can’t call him a racist ever. Racists don’t make out with the race that they hate, especially in the way he does with his tongue—so deep down her throat. I don’t care how good of an actor you are. It’s all bullshit. Ignore it. He’s not a racist. He’s a loving man. It’s all lies.”
Hmm. In case you missed it, Neeson volunteered information that he, during a week of his life after a close friend of his had been allegedly raped by a Black man, was roaming around outside pubs in Black neighborhood with a weapon hoping some “Black bastard” would try him so he could defend himself and kill him. (Nope, we didn’t embellish even a little bit).
Rodriguez’s comment comes after a few other celebrities, including Terry Crews and DL Hughley (who said he’s just “human” came to his defense. In the words of Wale, “what we not gon’ do is…”
