Stacey Dash is being replaced on VH1’s “Single Ladies” series. She confirmed the news back in August, but now we know who will be taking her spot!

According to Deadline, “All My Children” actress and longtime model Denise Vasi will be on the upcoming season of the show, but she won’t be playing the same character of “Val.” Instead, Vasi will play “Raquel,” a close friend of “Keisha” (played by Lisa Raye) who is a savvy business woman from a prominent Southern family on a quest to discover passion.

The execs of the show have nothing but good things to say about the star. Queen Latifah, who serves as executive producer, said, “Denise is the perfect addition to the Single Ladies cast. She is bringing a fun, new element to the show.”

And VH1′s EVP original production and programming Jeff Olde said, “It was a rare and wonderful moment during the audition when everyone in the room immediately knew we had found our Raquel. Denise’s beauty, style, grace and humor leap from the screen.”
