Jayson Wlliams Estranged Wife Tanya Young Williams Joins "Basketball Wives: Los Angeles"

Tanya Young Williams, the soon to be ex- wife of ex-basketball star Jayson Williams has joined the cast of Basketball Wives: Los Angeles. Tanya, who is currently in the process of divorcing Jayson, has already shot three episodes. According to the NY Post:

Jayson Williams’ estranged wife, Tanya, has joined the cast of VH1′s “Basketball Wives: LA” and says she’s so far shot three episodes while navigating divorce proceedings. “I signed on to participate in the show to elevate the negative perception . . . that [it] is purposely filled with flighty, overly emotional and senselessly dramatic women,” she told us via e-mail. “Yes, my life is chaotic, dramatic and surreal, but I am also a businesswoman.” Former Nets star Williams is behind bars for assault in the death of a limo driver and is up for parole next month when the show premieres.

For those of you who don’t remember the drama between Tanya and Jayson, Tanya filed for divorce in 2009 and claimed in the papers that he threatened to kill her, faked suicide and stomach cancer, told her he was “going down on white girls,” and urinated in the kitchen sink .
