Women’s Mafia Fashion Show
The Women’s Mafia is a social club and online magazine that is known for supporting independent designers. Annually they hold the “Are You Runway Ready” Contest and Fashion Week Show. All entrants must be up-and-coming Women’s Wear designers and are chosen to win coveted spots in the show and a PR and Branding package worth over $10,000. Runners-up win a profile on the Women’s Mafia website. This year’s event was hosted by Philip Pelusi and the design team at Tela Design Studio. Showing their lines were Ardistia, Shantele and Kayne Gillaspie of Jonathan Kayne, who you may remember from Season 3 of Project Runway.

The challenge facing the team was to make one hairstyle work for all three designers. Not such an easy feat as each has not only a different style but the looks went from very tailored or structured to ball gowns. Take a look behind the scenes. Then watch the show.
