Marc Jacobs debuted his Spring Collection this Monday to an audience full of celebrities from Lady Gaga to Madonna. The collection was dripping with femininity as Jacobs decided to stay away from the bondage look, a favorite on the catwalks this season.
Marc went for a more lush and whimsical feel, with pieces embellished with pearls, covered in ruffles, and plenty of pleated bloomers and balloon pants to go around. The collection fused geisha themes like pin cushion hair with vintage concepts like floral, plaids, and corsets.
On the streetwear side of things, Marc called to attention military style jackets mixed with the ruffles. – Alyssa Manners
