Sheree Whitfield, Lisa Wu-Hartwell, and Kandi Burruss from Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta put the drama aside for a moment to do a photoshoot for Upscale Magazine. NeNe Leakes is missing from the editorial; she’s busy baring the skeletons in her closet, and Kim Zolciak is busy baring her breast (for a cause). The fashion pieces for the shoot were inspired by earthly elements, and each lady attempts to give her best model pose. Check the gallery below to see how they did, but first, here are some excerpts from the interview:

upscale: What did you all think of the New Jersey housewives?

L.W.H.: I actually liked it. [But] when our counterparts [have drama] it’s called “entertainment.” with us, we’re called “ghetto.” We are living our lives and I think there are a lot of people that would take some things back if the[y] [were] having their lives filmed in front of millions of people. We don’t have the time or the liberty to take it back once its out.

upscale: What’s next for you?

S.W.: I’m starting to date. Really focusing on my family and building this branch ‘By Sheree.’ I’m also working on my memoir and a workout DVD…Everybody thinks they know Sheree but nobody really knows what my story is and I’m ready to tell it.

L.W.H.: I’m’ writing a book, called When the Cake is Already Made [in which] I talk about different incidences [of] domestic violence and me dealing with that. Of course I have Closet Freak (clothing line) and I’ll be shooting a movie as well.

K. B.: I did some writing for Fantasia and a new group called Sofia Fresh. Plus, I am on Gucci Mane’s album, and he is on my single “Trade ‘Em In.” I worked with Drumma Boy, Jazze Phe and KP & Malay, who did a lot of John Legend’s last album. I’m still finishing [my album].
