The search warrants that were served on June 29, four days after Michael Jackson was pronounced dead, have been unsealed. According to the documents, police discovered two bags of marijuana, a bottle of Temazepam (used to treat insomnia), empty bottles of Lorzaepam and Diazepam, which are sedatives, and four other empty pill bottles in which the contents are unknown.
The warrants also disclosed that when he died, detectives were concerned he had “received injection of an unknown medication, prior to his death.” Other documents have since revealed that Jackson’s doctor, Conrad Murray, had been giving the singer the anesthetic propofol intravenously.
The papers also stated that “family members of the decedent notified Los Angeles County Coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter that they had located a quantity of tar heroin in [Jackson’s] bedroom on the second floor of the residence. Winter notified LAPD detectives of the found evidence.” However, there is no mention in the warrant if the substance really turned out to be heroin.
