“Everybody gotta eat” – Darius, Atlanta
Closed mouths don’t get fed, so watch your back, and get prepared for Atlanta’s Robbin’ Season. Back like it never left, FX’s breakout hit, Atlanta, which returns on Thursday, March 1, 2018 will bring a tuneful mix of comedy and drama as it rocks through its sophomore season. Starring award-winning writer and director, Donald Glover, who plays Earnest ‘Earn’ Marks, as well as Brian Tyree Henry, who plays rapper Alfred ‘Paper Boi’ Miles, Atlanta shows how the duo double up on their hustle and hunger for success.
Paper Boi’s right-hand man, Lakeith Standfield, who plays Darius, returns with that supportive vision, while keeping his eyes on the streets. Earn’s ex-girlfriend, Vanessa ‘Van’ Keefer, played by stunning and eccentric actress, Zazie Beetz, rides through the challenges that come from a relationship turned situation-ship. From dilemmas that pull at the heart, all the way through the paper chase, the edgy vibe of Atlanta, which is also shot in the eye of Atlanta, is well worth the critical acclaim.
Executive Producer, Stephen Glover notes that the theme of Atlanta’s Robbin’ Season really speaks to “a tense and desperate time” in the ATL – when robbing is common during the holiday season. We got our hands on a clip of the show and let’s just say it looks as exciting and emotional as ever. Like Darius mentioned – everybody gotta eat.
Check out the clip in the video above. And make sure to tune in on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 10 PM to FX’s original series, Atlanta’s Robbin’ Season.
