We’re pulling out the vintage pic because Ms. Janet Jackson is back and in “Control.”
The grammy-award winning singer hit us with a two-for-one Monday night by giving an update on her relationship status, while announcing her return to the stage.
“Hey you guys, it’s me Jan, just in case you don’t recognize me since I have put on quite a few since I had the baby,” she said while decked out in a white top and black visor.
Since giving birth to her bundle of joy Eissa in January, we haven’t seen much of the pop queen, sans the adorable picture she posted on social media of the two of them in April.
“I thank God for him you guys. He’s so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving, such a happy baby. That’s my Eissa!” she gushed.
Jackson turned somber confirming the demise of her five-year marriage to billionaire Wissam Al Mana. News broke in April that Jackson intended to separate, just months after giving birth to the couple’s first child.
“I just want to keep it real with you guys for a second. Yes, I separated from my husband. We are in court and the rest is in God’s hands,” she said.
Things got a little lighter as she quickly changed topics. “I’m continuing my tour as I promised!” she said.
Janet announced she’s changing the name from “Unbreakable” to the “State of The World Tour.” She made sure to note the tour is “not about politics, but about people, the world, relationships and love.”
Jackson’s announcement stole a bit of attention away from the glitz and glamor going down at the annual Met Ball in New York City, but we’re sure her fans didn’t mind.
She thanked her fans for their support and revealed the tour will kick off on September 7. So get your tailored military jackets, black leggings, military boots and fierce stances ready!
