Gladys Knight To Sue Son After Restaurant Raid
Gladys Knight is reportedly suing her son so he won’t be able to use her face and name for his restaurant business anymore, TMZ reports.
The singer granted son Shanga Hankerson permission to use her name and likeness in 1999, but after the restaurant was raided because of shady business dealings, she fittingly wants to be disconnected from the whole chicken and waffles franchise.
The 72-year-old has also requested that any memorabilia hanging in the restaurants be returned.
Looks like Gladys is jumping ship — and rightfully so.
