Halle Berry is teaming up with high-profile fashion brands to fight against cancer, InStyle reports.
Christian Louboutin and Saks Fifth Avenue are joining the actress in standing up to the disease through style.
The Extant star will be sporting an exclusive, limited-edition T-shirt designed by Louboutin for the Key to the Cure campaign. Past designers of the tee have included Karl Lagerfeld, Oscar de la Renta, and Diane Von Furstenberg.
“I, like so many others, have been touched by cancer, which is why I’m proud to continue to lend my support to the Entertainment Industry Foundation and Stand Up to Cancer in serving as this year’s Key to the Cure ambassador,” Halle said of the initiative. “I hope everyone will join me in supporting this critical cause by purchasing a Key to the Cure T-shirt.”
The fashion to philanthropy pipeline has been working really well thus far. Marc Metrick, president of Saks Fifth Avenue, said the campaign has raised $40 million for cancer research since it began 18 years ago.
We love to see style and charity coming together for an epic cause.
